Kazuyoshi Okada Founder & CEO
Kazuyoshi Okada is openly an advocate for helping hikikomori, as he himself suffered from videogame addiction and isolationism throughout adolescence. He had little formal education, living in his bedroom in his parents' home until age 21. After he finally moved out, he lived independently--but still in nearly total isolation--until age 26. Eventually he found a therapeutic value in designing videogames, first with Megadoom in 2007 and then DevilsGame in 2010. DevilsGame became Okada's first worldwide success. In 2017, he launched the smartphone app DevilsGame APpOCALYPSE with the hope of encouraging gamers to work together and create a greater sense of community.
